This article refers to the house at this location, but doesn’t seem to match any of the pictures of the home in Salinas where Mary and Charles W. (I thought his names was Steve) Stief lived.

I believe the house number was 401, but not sure if they lived in more than one house, because I saw other addresses listed in Salinas where they lived as well, including 249 Tapadero Street.

She had died before my siblings and cousins were born, so I guess I was the only grandchild she ever got to meet!  Unfortunately the picture of my dad and me at the same place and time didn’t come out so clearly in the original photo, but I took the best scan I could.
