Floyd Leonard Hayden
(1892-1917)
 Floyd was half English (most
likely) and half
Muckleshoot
Indian. Because he died so young and
his son had no memory of
him, most of the information about Floyd went to the grave with
him, including his identity as a Muckleshoot. Floyd's parents were Ander (?) Hayden and Ann Wiley
according to the death certificate below.
Floyd was killed by railroad train car couplings. He might have lived a full life
if Congress hadn't taken so long to pass legislation requiring universal train couplings
and/or Congress had not granted immunities to employers before the doctrine of respondeat
superior.
